Louise Clews Walk

The Oppussum Creek pathway running along the border of Brookwater was recently named the “Louise Clews Walk” by Councillor David Morrison.

Louise Clews born in Ipswich and a long term Brookwater resident, passed away earlier this year from Motor Neurone Disease aged 45. Louise was well known in our community, was the ANZ Bank Orion Branch Manager, and actively involved from the beginning of the Ipswich Cares charity. Annually this charity raises the awareness with a 50km walk from Rosewood to Springfield Central. Louise was an active walker around Brookwater particularly in preparation for the Ipswich Cares Walk and it is fitting the Oppussum Creek pathway was renamed in her honour by Ipswich City Council.
